Kuhstallcafe Illkofen is more than just a cafe; it's a delightful farm experience nestled in the serene outskirts of Beratzhausen, Germany. Located at Illkofen 2, 93176 Beratzhausen, this charming establishment offers a unique blend of rustic charm and homemade culinary delights, making it a must-visit destination for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. With a phone number of +49 9492 902200, it's easy to get in touch to secure a reservation!

Imagine stepping into a world where the air is filled with the sweet scent of freshly baked cakes and the rustic aroma of farm life. The cafe serves homemade delicacies, with an emphasis on fresh cream that is so exquisite it elevates every coffee experience. Customer Craig Breckheimer beautifully encapsulates what Kuhstallcafe has to offer: "If you are a city dweller and looking for a new country life experience, this place is it."

The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it perfect for family outings or a peaceful retreat. Children can delight in the company of adorable bunnies and cows grazing nearby, creating an authentic farm atmosphere that captivates visitors of all ages. The cafe truly comes to life during the monthly Sunday brunch, which offers a variety of scrumptious items like scrambled eggs, cold meat platters, and, of course, their celebrated cakes. At just €30 for two, it's a treat that's hard to beat! However, be prepared for a bit of a wait if you’re yearning for warm dishes like omelettes, as this adds to the cozy, leisurely pace of farm dining.

While there are many highlights, some guests have noted that it’s wise to make reservations online and to be mindful of the cafe's cash payment requirement. It’s also important to keep in mind the timing of meals; brunch is not served until 16:00, and some may find the aroma of the farm's charm a touch overwhelming—something to consider if bringing children, as shared by Mev A-M. But the smiles on the faces of the little ones as they watch the animals surely make the experience worthwhile!

Vibrant cakes, including the popular Wurstsalat, have charmed many, and diners like Sabine Beard and L C emphasize the delightful taste that comes straight from the heart of the farm. A note for international guests: the menu is predominantly in German, so a little preparation will go a long way in ensuring a hassle-free dining experience.

In summary, Kuhstallcafe Illkofen isn't just about the food; it’s about creating memorable experiences that transport you far from the noise of the city into a world where the simple joys of farm life shine through. With its delightful offerings and picturesque landscape, you'll likely leave with a sense of nostalgia and a craving for their delicious cakes! Whether you’re here for relaxation or to immerse yourself in a bit of farm life, Kuhstallcafe invites you to come and indulge in a delightful experience.

If you are a city dweller and looking for a new country life experience this place is it. All items are homemade and the cream is sooooo fresh that comes with your coffee. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for that new experience and atmosphere.

Make reservations online And bring cash! If you’re looking for brunch it is not served until 1600! Their milkshakes and cakes are ok. My children enjoy looking at the beautiful bunnies and cows—unfortunately, we had to leave earlier than anticipated as one of our children is asthmatic and the “farm smells” were to too much for her. Other than that the rest of us had a pleasant experience.

This is a destination worth trying. The once per month Sunday brunch was €30 for two people. It included scrambled eggs, a self serve cold meat platter, breads, cheeses, and cakes. Be prepared for a wait if you want an omelette or scrambled eggs. When you make your reservation remember to ask for seats that face the cows. It is very hot in the summer due to a lack of ventilation (ask for a seat next to a window). They do not take cards, and there is no ATM nearby... BRING CASH! This place is not wheelchair accessible.

What a lovely place. The cakes and the Wurstsalat were good. We didn't understand why the table next to us was told that there was no "Brotzeit" at this time (even though we obviously got some). Now, I have to say, the cows were adorable. Obviously, it's a farm, so it smells like cows, but not bad, and inside it is barely noticeable.

I LOVE it here. Cafe food was amazing, but what really made it memorable was being able to walk through the cow barns. I miss being home and growing up we had cows. It made my stay here in Germany a little less sad.
